Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Michael E. & Catherine (Taylor) White.
She retired in 2000 as a registered nurse for Belle Haven Nursing Home, Quakertown after 17 years of service. Prior to that she worked 12 years for the former Quakertown Community Hospital.
Rose was a member of the Kings County Hospital Center School of Nursing Alumni Association and she also enjoyed reading, crocheting, traveling and for the last 3 years she was a volunteer at St. Lukes Quakertown Hospital. She was a member of St. Isidores Catholic Church in Quakertown.
Survivors: Sons, Charles and his wife Laurie of Quakertown, Michael and his wife Lynn of Hatfield, and David and his wife Pam of Coopersburg; daughters, Therese Teri Loew and her husband Joseph of Coopersburg, Linda Nohejl and her husband Russell of Stroudsburg, and Rosalie Karcher and her husband Patrick of Quakertown; sisters, Catherine Heiner of Bergenfield, N.J., Veronica Guicciardini of Holtzville, L.I.; 21 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters. She was predeceased by a granddaughter Sarah Loew and a great-granddaughter Eva Plawa.
Services: A mass will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Isidores Catholic Church, 2545 W. Pumping Station Road, Quakertown. Call Monday evening 7-8:30 p.m. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc.(www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown.
