Amarillo, Texas – Anna Bob Beckham Ator died Sunday, June 7, 2009. She was the daughter of Robert C. and Elizabeth Long "Betty" Beckham of Tupelo. She was known by her childhood nickname, "Teensy." She married Lloyd George Ator on April 15, 1942. A military wife, she traveled with her husband to various places across the country. Until her retirement in 1992, she was employed in the medical records department of hospitals and clinics as an expert transcriber of operation notes. Upon her husband's retirement, the family moved to Denton, Texas, where she continued to live after his death in 1975. In 2005, she moved to Amarillo to live with her daughter, Becky.

Graveside services were at Lee Memorial Park. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors of Tupelo was in charge of arrangements.

Survivors included her children, Lloyd Ator Jr. and Robert Ator, both of Silver Spring, Md., and Anna Elizabeth "Becky" Ator Koen of Amarillo, Texas; her grandchildren, Melissa Ator Parisi, Justin Koen, David Koen, Laura Koen Sanders and Marianna Ator; and great-grandchildren, Kyle and Eva Parisi, Symphony Koen, Hunter and Bella Sanders, and Willa Koen.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
