SAN ANGELO Elvina Ake Brady, 91, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 2, 2014, in a local care center. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 7, at Emmanuel Episcopal Church with the Rev. Matthew Rowe officiating. Graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Friday, March 7, in Paint Rock Cemetery in Paint Rock. Elvina was born March 11, 1922, in Live Oak, Texas, to James Henry and Cora (Harden) Ake. She married Bernard Cornelius Brady Jr. on June 6, 1964, in Houston, Texas. She was secretary to the manager at Southwestern Bell for over 25 years and then helped her husband as co-owner of the Mid Town Plaza Pasadena Motel. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Betty Brown; and a brother, Coolidge Ake. Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Gailey; sons Bernard Allen Brady and Jeffery Scott Brady; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister Jimmie Bebb; brother Leonard Ake; and numerous nieces and nephews.
