Gladys S. Reese, 69, of Hyndman, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 1990, in Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md. She was born May 5, 1921, at Turtle Creek, a daughter of the late Harmon and Ruth (Clites) Shroyer. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Luther E. Reese, who died Sept. 30, 1976. She is survived by three sons: Robert L. Reese, John H. Reese and Luther E. Reese Jr., all of Hyndman RD 1; and seven daughters: Mrs. Lulu Belle Kennell of Ellerslie, Md.; Mrs. Judy A. Smith of Olney, Md.; Mrs. Bonnie E. Thompson of Charlotte Hall, Md; and Mrs. Linda L. Blough, Mrs. Ruth A. Kennell, Mrs. Kay L. Walls and Mrs. Carol J. Huffman, all of Hyndman RD 1; 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Roy Shroyer and Jay Shroyer of Hyndman RD 1, and a sister, Virginia Shroyer of Hyndman RD 1, also survive. Mrs. Reese was a member of Calvary Bible Baptist Church of Ellerslie. Funeral services: Thursday, Dec. 27, at 11 a.m. in the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, with the Rev. Ken L. Korns officiating. Burial at Comps Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
