Margaret Jane Acosta, 75, of Bryan passed away peacefully Thursday, January, 19, 2012 in Bryan. Services are set for 10AM Sunday, January 22 in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home with Chaplin William Plotts officiating. Burial will follow in the Willow Hole Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8PM Saturday, January 21 in the Trevino-Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
She was born June 28, 1936 in North Zulch, Texas to Oscar Truman and Martha Jane (Hewitt) Walton. Margaret deeply loved her family and enjoyed cooking and catering to their every need. She collected buttons, liked to read, and especially loved her dogs. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerardo Roy Acosta; and a baby brother, Rudy Walton.
Survivors include two sons, Roy and his wife Dora Acosta, and James Allan Acosta; two daughters and their spouses, Tammy and Rodrigo Medina, and Carolyn "Cissy" Gutierrez and Angel Perez; two sisters, Hazel Nell Walton, and Helen Ann Walton; 9 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
