MSGT Ret. Earl Booker T. Lee, Jr., 71, passed away January 19, 2012 in Abilene. Graveside services will be 1:00p.m., Wednesday, January 25, 2012 in the Texas State Veterans Cemetery, under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Hwy 277 South.

Earl was born on July 20, 1940 to Earl Booker T. Lee, Sr. and Julia Morgan in Norfolk, Virginia. He graduated from George Washington Carver High School and then joined the United States Air Force in 1960, retiring after 23 years of service at Langley AFB in Virginia. While in the service, Civil Engineering was his specialty although he spent the last few years as a medical technician.

He enjoyed several hobbies that included automotive mechanics, car racing, and fishing. Earl also loved to go to air shows and travel.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Delois Lee; and two brothers, Clarence and Leverne Lee.

Survivors include a brother, Rudolph and a sister, Earlene of Norfolk, VA; his children, Carlos Denson and wife, Esther, Darrell Denson, Angela Flowers, Earl Bernard Lee, and Chatay Lee; grandkids, Cortez, Nakisha, Morgan, Charles, Tanee, Earl Jamal Lee, Monay, Leandre, Chanece, Justine and Darrylisha; fourteen great-grandkids; and many nieces and nephews.
