Thomas married Mary Ann Carter April 28, 1853. She was the daughter of James John Carter of South Carolina and Susannah Benton Lawrence. I am unsure where Mary was interred. She was living in Washington D.C. in 1900 with her son Liston. I could find no later records for her. Thomas was the fourth son of Joseph the 2nd. He studied medicine and was a Representative from Marion County, SC in the Legislature of 1870. He was a wealthy well respected man. Additional information was provided to me by Puma.
