Robert Edward Spiva, age 63, passed away on Sept. 25, 2004, at the Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center. Mr. Spiva was born on June 14, 1941, in Washington County, Va. He lived in the greater Bristol area all his life, where he worked as a salesman for Virginia Wholesale. Mr. Spiva also served in the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife, Jean Pickle Spiva; son, William Andrew Spiva and wife Amber of Bristol Virginia; grandchildren, Brooks and Natalie Spiva; brother, Ernest Spiva and wife Linda, Huddleston, Va.; niece, Lisa Rankin and husband Dave; nephews, Jay Spiva, wife, Bridges, and children, Wagner and Waylon, and Sammy Pickle, wife, Amy, and children, Emily and Austin; and brother-in-law, Sam Pickle and wife Evelyn.
The funeral service for Mr. Robert Spiva will be held at 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 27, 2004, in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Dennis Burnette officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday in the Forest Hills Cemetery, with military honors presented by VFW Patton-Crosswhite Post 6975.
