Funeral services for Wilmer Daniel "Bill" Hunter, 71, of Star City, who died Sunday, September 26, 1982 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center at Pine Bluff were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 29 at Griffin Funeral Home of Star City by Reverend John Fuqua. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery at the Yorktown community near Star City.
He was born January 29, 1911 to the late Evan Hunter and Amanda Harper Hunter.
Pallbearers were Gary Cogbill, Lewis Cogbill, Curtis Hunter, Don Hunter, Leonard Hunter and Joe Hunter.
He was a farmer and a member of the Church of Star City.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Juanita Hunter; a son, Charles Hunter of Star City; two daughters, Mrs. Syble Walters and Mrs. Barbara Manes, both of Star City; a brother, Grady Hunter of Warren; a sister, Mrs. Bertie Cogbill of Star City; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
