Mrs. Lydic was a schoolteacher for 35 years in Indiana and Clearfield counties. She received her state teaching certificate in 1907. She was a member of the Stifflertown Zion Bible Church and the church's Ladies' Bible Class.
Surviving are the following children: Mrs. David (Geneveive) Meese, Barnesboro RD 1; Mrs. Carter (Irene) Hartman, Warner Robins, Ga.; and Neil E., West Mifflin; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; three half brothers : John Collins, Niagara Falls, N. Y.; Sherman Henry, Burlingame, Kan.; Walter Henry, Auburn, Kan.; and a half sister, Mrs. Margaret Misner, Miami, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel in 1966; two brothers: Earl and George; and grandson, Dwight Meese in 1965.
