A memorial service for Adelbert "Buddy" L. Sylvia, age 78, of Edgartown, who died on October 27, 2011 will be held on Saturday, January 21 at 11:00am at the First Baptist Church, Spring Street, Vineyard Haven followed by the burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Vineyard Haven officiated by Rev. Ellen Tatreau. Buddy is survived by his loving wife Gloria J. (King) Sylvia and a son, Gary Sylvia of Edgartown. He was the father of the late Dennis W. Sylvia. He leaves a sister Shirley Pachico of Oak Bluffs, seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
