Edith Leeoma Ford

Edith Leeoma Ford, age 97, of Nixa, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012. She was born September 23, 1914 in Kissee Mills, the daughter of Emery and Dollie (Worthington) Wolfe.

On March 22, 1931 she and Basil Ford were united in marriage. Edith and Basil owned a farm south of Nixa. After retirement in 1985 they moved to town.

Edith was a Christian, saved at an early age. She loved her family and they will all miss her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990, a son-in-law Tommy McConnell, two brothers, four sisters, and her parents.

Survivors include her three children, Emery Ford and wife Vonda, Dorothy McConnell, and Judy Galloway and husband Bill, all of Nixa; three grandchildren and their spouses, Chad and B.J. McConnell, Kelly and Opal Ford, and Pam and Mike Ramsey; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

A graveside funeral will be 2:00 PM Monday, January 23, in McConnell Cemetery. The casket will be open just prior to the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
