Glenn Richard Allen 1926 ~ 2005 Glenn Richard Allen, age 78, died on May 10, 2005 in Salt Lake City. He was born on July 16, 1926 to Glenn Hamilton and Gladys Kirkman Allen. Glenn graduated from Woodbury College in CA in 1949 and became a public accountant. He met Ruth Johnson on April 1, 1949 and married her in Long Beach, CA on December 8, 1949. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles Temple on July 19, 1956. He was a long time member of the LDS church. Glenn and Ruth served an LDS mission in Jacksonville, FL. Glenn is survived by his wife; five of his six children, 24 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, stepfather, daughter, Nancy Carol Allen, and a son-in-law, Randy Sapp. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Granite Park Stake Center, 601 E. Mansfield Ave. (30th S.). Family and friends may visit an hour prior to services at the church and also the night before from 6-8 p.m. at Memorial Mortuary, 5850 S. 900 E. Interment to follow Saturday service at Lake Hills Cemetery, 10055 South State Street.
