Otho Armstrong, 53, farmer residing on Williams R.R.1, died at 11:55 o'clock Tuesday night at his home following an illness of three months.
The body was brought to the Day Carter & Roach funeral home for burial preparation and will lie in state there. Funeral services will be held at the Silverville Baptist Church at 2:00 o'clock Friday afternoon and burial will be made in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr Armstrong was a native of Lawrence County and was born to Calvin R and Louise Craig Armstrong on December 16, 1890. He was twice married, first in early life with Miss Della Hall, who preceded him in death in 1933. His second marriage ws with Isma Hammersley and occurred on September 25, 1935 who survives.
Other surivors are a son, Larry Kern Armstrong at home, two brothers, Ivan Armstrong Bedford, and Dewey Armstrong, St Bernice, IN; two sisters, Mrs. Ora Wright and Mrs Charles Inman of Indianapolis.
