His wife, Mrs. M. I. Mallory, has a CSA pension application on line under Clayton Co. in the GA Archives. She gives proof of Marriage to William B. Mallory on 11 June 1856. She says he enlisted in 1861 in the 2nd GA Regiment, served about a year and then was transferred to the 59th GA Regiment. He was home on sick furlough with officer permission when the war ended. She says he died on March 30, 1903/4 in Clayton County, GA. See GA pension record # 178213-00359 to read her own words.
