Funeral services were held at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at Clay Center, Kansas, on June 21, 1960.
The Carnegie (Oklahoma) Herald’s obituary stated: “Mrs. Meyer, 94 years of age, had a light stroke about six weeks ago. A second stroke came Sunday, June 12, when she was taken to a hospital.” She died at a Kansas hospital. She had lived with her son, Neil, at Clay Center, Kansas, since 1938 when her husband died. Two sons also preceded her in death.
Survivors included two daughters, Elizabeth Krogmeier of Fort Madison, Iowa, and Maggie Bozeman of Clifton Hill, Mo.; three sons, Joe Meyer of Carnegie, Okla., Neil of Clay Center, and Ted of Valdosta, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
