She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Yates and a son, Galen Yates.
Survivors include one son, Ernest Yates of Kansas City, MO; one brother, Way land Defoor of Gravelly, AR; three grandchildren, Brenda Lighthill of Kansas City, MO, Sherry Cowell of Russellville, AR, Linda Garvin of Kansas City, MO.
Services were Tuesday, July 2, 2002 at 10:00 a. m. at Mulberry Baptist Church in Gravelly, AR. Burial will be at Parks Cemetery in Nola, AR. Arrangements by Martin Funeral Home of Waldron.
