ODESSA -- Services for Elmer Madding, 84, of Odessa are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home with the Rev. James Otterness officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Madding died Sunday, Aug. 27, 1995, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born on May 5, 1911, in Ranger. He married Evelyn Harrison on Oct. 16, 1964, in Odessa.
Mr. Madding came to Odessa from Snyder in 1936. He served in the Army during World War II in the European Theater. He retired from Atlantic Richfield Oil Co. in 1976 and started Madding Auto Sales in 1977. He was a longtime member of Sunset Country Club and an avid golfer. He was a member of the American Legion, The Odessa Chamber of Commerce and served as an usher at Lutheran Church of the Risen Lord.
Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
