MANSFIELD: Glance Kelly, 73, of Mansfield, died Monday, January 16, 2012 at MedCentral Mansfield. Born May 5, 1938 in Grundy, Virginia, she was the daughter of Stewart and Leota (Baumgarner) McCoy. She was raised in the Mt. Vernon/Howard area and retired from MedCentral after 20 years of service in the dietary department. Glance had also worked at Stan's Restaurant as a waitress and WalMart as a greeter. She had a deep faith and had a firm belief that religion lives with you in your heart. A very social person, Glance enjoyed visiting and phone calls and was always willing to assist whoever needed her help. She also enjoyed sewing, shopping and doing puzzles but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

She is survived by two sons, Paul (Nancy) Johnson and John (Cathy) Johnson all of Mansfield; two daughters, Linda (Steve) Meckling of Mansfield and Tina (Mike) Ullman of Cleveland; nine grandchildren, Jeremy, Sunny, Kenny, Shannon, Paul, Taylor, Miles, Robyn and Kevin; five great grandchildren; three brothers, Eugene (Sylvia) McCoy, Ron (Pixie) McCoy and Wayne McCoy; three sisters, Lois McCoy, Georgie (Leroy) Chandler and Sue (Roger) Miller; a host of nieces, nephews, dear relatives and many close friends including dear friends, Pauline Smith and Judy Stewart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul F. Johnson; her second husband, Glenn J. Kelly; two brothers, Joe and David McCoy; an infant brother; and two sisters, Lucy Ward and Nan Thompson.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2012 at the funeral home conducted by Pastor John Johnson. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Spina Bifida Association, 4590 MacArthur Blvd. NW, Suite 250, Washington, DC 20007.
