John A. J. Brown, who states DOB as 5 April 1843, has a CSA pension app on line in the GA archives virtual vault under Hart County. He says he enlisted in Company F of the 38th Ga regiment, served 8 months and then was transferred to the 25th GA regiment. He was wounded in his left leg and had his eyes and lungs burned by the powder used in battle. He was blinded and received a $90 year pension.
