Mrs. Emma Kokemoor, 88, of Route 5, Brenham, died today at 8:50 a.m. in a Brenham rest home.
Services will be held from St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill, Sunday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Charles Eckert officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorial Oaks Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
The deceased was born June 7, 1890 at Prairie Hill in Washington County, the daughter of William and Caroline Schramme Reue.
She was both baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith at St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill.
She attended Prairie Hill School.
On Nov. 30, 1911 she married Louis Kokemoor in the same church.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran church of Prairie Hill.
Survivors include her husband, Louis, of Brenham; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Lonnie and Lenora Kokemoor of Houston and Arthur and Rosalee Kokemoor of Brenham; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Hebert Kokemoor; a daughter and son-in-law, Irene and Oscar Bockhorn Jr. of Brenham; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Grebe of Brenham and Mrs. Lydia Reue of Brenham; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons and four brothers.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
