Remarkable Willis Township Mother Joins Majority
Mrs. T.W. Jerome, age 45 years passed away at her home in Willis Township, Saturday morning at 8 o'clock, following a short illness from influenza and pneumonia. The funeral was held Sunday, Rev. Charles Prime of Velva preaching the sermon and the remains were interred in the Willis Cemetery.
The death of Mrs. Jerome is particularly sad as she leaves ten orphan children, the father dying in June 1915. Three of the children are married and seven reside on the Jerome farm. During the past season, the Jerome daughters have operated the farm under their mother's wise management in a very successful manner. After the death of her husband, Mrs. Jerome took the management of the farm and has conducted the affairs successfully. She was a wonderful mother and an ideal neighbor and hundreds of friends are in deep sorrow over her demise. The Jerome family have been residents of Willis Township for the past fifteen years.
