NEWPORT NEWS - Emery J. Neal, 83, died Monday, Dec. 4, in his home.
Mr. Neal was a native of West Virginia and a Peninsula resident for 35 years. He retired in 1971 from Norfolk & Western Railroad after many years.
Survivors include three daughters, Betty Dixon of Woodbridge, Margaret Wisenhunt of Charleston, S.C., and Elizabeth Mae Rouse of Converse, Texas; two sons, Paul Neal of Newport News, and Emery J. Neal of Charlotte, N.C.; a sister, Blanche Snapp of Princeton, W.Va.; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Peninsula Funeral Home by the Rev. V. Allen Gaines. Burial will be in Peninsual Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight in the funeral home. Edition: Final
