Ollis Weatherford
FULTON - Ollis D. Weatherford, 85, died Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at The Meadows in Fulton. He was born Sept. 3, 1922, to Harris and Mittie Lilly Benick Weatherford. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University. He worked as an auditor with the Mississippi State Tax Commission. After retirement, he was employed by McNeece-Morris Funeral Home. He was a member of the Fulton United Methodist Church, where he served in various capacities. He previously served on the Associate Board of the Bank of Mississippi and the Itawamba County Hospital Board. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a Mason and a Shriner. An avid conversationalist and MSU fan, he enjoyed gardening. Most of all, he was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Fulton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Glyn Wiygul and the Rev. Jim Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Fulton is in charge of the arrangements.
