Mrs. Roxanna Bolick died at the home of Mr. Lee Cline Near Southside, last Saturday morning, age 57 years.
The deceased had suffered for several years from cancer of the liver and had been confined to her bed for four months. In the absence of her pastor the funeral was conducted by Reverend SW Bennett, Sunday afternoon and burial was made in Salem graveyard. Several miles north west of Lincolnton. Mrs. Bolick had long been a faithful and devoted member of the Baptist church.
She was before her marriage Miss Roxanna Michaels, and was born and raised in Catawba county North Carolina.
Her nine children are left to mourn the loss of a gentle, loving mother, they are:

Misses Effie, Gracie, Georgie, and Elmer Bolick of southside.
Mrs. BL Bost and Mrs JB Bumgarner of Laboratory.
Mrs L J Thornburg of Catawba county and Mr. Gerard Bolick of Alexander
