~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nancy F. (Tomlinson) Allegre Boots was the daughter of Fabian and Sarah Thompson (Hunter) Tomlinson. She was born in Massachusetts and moved to Indiana before 1860 where she is found in Delaware County in the 1860 Census. She married John Wesley Allegre (misspelled on marriage record as Allygere). John passed away 30 Dec 1860 and Nancy remarried in September 1869 to David Winter Boots, also a widower, who had a young son, Melvillle 'Mell' M. Boots. Nancy and David had 2 daughters: Mary Alice and Lucille 'Lucy" Boots. It is thought that Nancy might have had a child with her first husband, but if so he/she died young. Following David's death, Nancy made her home in Cedarville, Ohio until her death. Her Obituary follows:
