Lititz Record (Lititz, Pa.), Thursday, Apr. 25, 1912, p. 1:
"Mrs. Mary Bollinger
The sudden death of Mrs. Mary Bollinger, widow of Jacob Bollinger, occurred at her home at Rothsville on Saturday evening at 12 o'clock. She attended services in the Lutheran church, of which she was a member, in the afternoon and appeared to be in her usual good health. About 4:30 o'clock while hunting eggs at the barn she was stricken with apoplexy, shortly afterward becoming unconscious and remaining in that state until her death.
Her age was 79 years, 6 months and 12 days. Deceased was a daughter of the late Levi Grube and was born at Rothsville. Her husband died three years ago. There are no surviving children, but Mrs. Henry Myers, who resided with the deceased, was raised by the couple.
The funeral was held on Wednesday, with services at the house and in the Lutheran church. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. J. W. Bittner officiated."
