Obituary.


William Humphrey Allison was born near McComb, in Mac Donaugh county, Ills., April 21, 1840. He passed away August 30, 1913, at the age of 73 years, 4 months and 9 days. At the age of sixteen he moved with his parents to Mount Pleasant, Ia.; in 1880 to Council Bluffs, Ia., where he was engaged in the milling business; in the spring of '69 he, with his brother Henton, moved on a farm in the northern part of Nemaha County, Kans., where he has resided for the past 44 years. In April, 1871, he was united in marriage to Loantha Young of Pawnee County, Neb. To this union were born two daughters, Florence and Nellie.


Florence Alison Hearne departed from this life in August, 1806 (sic), leaving two children, William and Mabel. William passed from life July 12, and was laid to rest beside his parents eight weeks ago.


William Allison's health began failing several years ago and in the last two years he has been sadly afflicted and a great sufferer. In life he was a kind and loving husband and father, loved and respected by all who knew him. One aim in his life was to make those about him happy. He took the teaching of Christ as his example. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife, a daughter, a granddaughter and two brothers- Henton of Seneca, Ks., and Augustus of Coleraine, Minn.
