He lived his entire life in Hubbards, Nova Scotia, and was the father of Vernon, Charles, Roxana, Stowell, Edith, Granville, Grace, Lowell, Abel, Horace, Edward, and Hazel. A beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. James was a direct descendant of Lorentz Conradt, a pioneer settler of Lunenberg, Nova Scotia.
