Mrs. Bertha A. Otte
Herington-Mrs. Bertha A. Otte, 90, Herington, died Thursday, Feb. 28, at a Herington hospital.
She was born Sept. 13, 1894, at Shady Brook, north of Herington, the daughter of Emil and Augusta Schiesener Krause.
Mrs. Otte was a member of St. John's Lutheran Chruch at Lincolnville and Corlberg-Smith Unit No. 147 of American Legion Auxiliary at Burdick.
She was married Nov. 26, 1916, to Ernest Otte at lincolnville. He died Jan. 17, 1952. A son Wilbert Otte, was killed in action May 6, 1945.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Verna Peterson and Mrs. Viola Hubbard, both of Herington and Leona Otte Lincolnville; three sons, Elmer Otte and Walter Otte, both of Herington, and Raymond Otte, Lincolnville; five sisters, Mrs. Ottillie Albrecht, Herington, Mrs. Marie Beneke and Mrs. Esther Groneman, both of Lincolnville, Mrs. Martha Brockmeier, Hope, and Mrs. Augusta Ollenberger, Marion; three brothers, Martin Krause, William Krause and Paul Krause, all of Lincolnville; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
