William C. Wilson, 91, of rural Jamestown, ND died Friday, December 16, 2011, at his home. William C. Wilson was born November 1, 1920, north of Jamestown in Bloom Township, the son of Joseph Harry and Susan (Jenkins) Wilson. He attended Homer and Woodbury Township schools before graduating from Jamestown High School in 1939. Bill farmed with his father southwest of Jamestown in Woodbury Township. He married Ruth Ann Lester on June 9, 1941 in Jamestown. They made their home on the farm in Woodbury Township for many years, raising seven children.

Bill was active on the Klose Farmers Elevator Board, serving as President, Vice-President and on the Board of Directors from 1970-1994. He also became an agent and served on the Board of Directors with James River Mutual Insurance in 1965. He served as President from 1972-1987. Bill was a dedicated Stutsman County Fair Board Director for over 30 years. He was an active member of the James River Aerie No. 2337 Fraternal of Eagles in Jamestown. Bill served in almost every chair twice including President, Dakota State Trustee, Aerie Ritual Team and volunteering for many projects, maintenance and repairs. 2004 he was inducted into the Eagles Hall of Fame and the ND Fairman's Hall of Fame.

In his earlier years he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Later in life he enjoyed collecting tractors and his favorite pastime was the Windsor Bar Pool team, which he was a member of.

Bill is survived by two sons, Randy Wilson (Sheila Matthiesen) and Rick Wilson (Amy Tarno), both of Jamestown; three daughters, Bonnie (Don Weaver) Geist, Arvada, CO, Ginger (Garry) Schlecht, Mandan, ND, and Renee (Rich Pool) Wilson, Westminster, CO 19 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and a very special friend, Lorraine Bair, Windsor, ND.

He was preceded in death by his wife; two sons, Billy D. Wilson and Tom D. Wilson; and one grandson, Wendall Letcher.

Funeral Service: 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at First United Methodist Church, Jamestown.

Visitation: 9:00 a.m. To 7:00p.m., Monday, December 19, 2011 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.

Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown
