Edith Pauline Boyd-Gary 88 of Big Spring went to join her Lord on Monday January 16, 2012 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday January 18, 2012 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Derrick Looney pastor of Spring Creek Fellowship officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday January 17, 2012 at the funeral home.
She was born on May 8, 1923 in Waco, Texas.
She is survived by three sons: Ira Skipper Boyd and wife Tonya, Marvin Richard Boyd and wife Shirley and Martin Robert Boyd all of Big Spring; one brother Fulton Lewis Goode of Killeen; nine grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; a number of great great grandchildren and a host of friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her husbands: Alvin Boyd in 1971 and Louis Gary in 1987; three sons: Sam Rutlin Boyd in 1948, David Dean Boyd in 1949 and Jackie Lynn Boyd in 1956; a daughter Malinda Beth Boyd-Feek in 2009; two sisters Lois Ruth Brown in 1960 and Margie Lee Lethco in 1996; two brothers Langston David Goode in 2004 and Bobby Gene Goode in 1997; and a granddaughter Melinda Ann Boyd in 2005.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Boyd, Gary Boyd, Shawn Boyd, Wayland Boyd, Lewis Goode and Gene Goode.
