JOE A. "CURLY" ADAMS, age 71, Hwy. 1054 S., Berry, died Monday, March 13, 2006, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. Born in Harrison County, April 4, 1934, to the late Overton and Bessie Morgan Adams, he was a retired Harrison County Lumber and Bundy Tubing employee and a retired carpenter. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Overton Adams, Jr.; a sister, Bertha Jane Bailey and a son-in-law, Jerry W. Clifford.

He is survived by a son, Terry L. Adams, Harrison County; three daughters, B. J. Frederick, Denise L. Clifford (caregiver) and Susan Kay Moore, all of Harrison County; four grandchildren, Chad (Emily) Vance, Susan Nicole (Clifton) Getter, Megan R. (Josh) Ritchie and Ashley Marie Moore, three great grandchildren and special friends, Betty Adams and David Johnson.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday at Ware Funeral Home by Rev. Terry Moore. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to Ware Funeral Home for funeral expenses.

Active pallbearers will be Chad Vance, Rod White, Randell Perry, Tony Smith, David Johnson, Jeremy Hicks, Billy Roberts, Donny Tucker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cleo Chism and William Means.
