See page 194, "A County Family History", Vol 11, Maries Co, MO, Bio written by Wanda Hodge. She states that Nicholas and Malinda separated, but may have never divorced. He was the father of at least seven other children whose mother was Elizabeth Green. Wanda states that Nicholas Sr and Malinda Forrester were married in Roane County, Tennessee in either Febrary or March 26, in 1840. They had three children; Mary Elizabeth, Martha Emaline and William C.

From History of Maries Co, MO by Everett M, King: Nicholas Daniels Senior, son of Thomas, first married a Forrester by whom he was the father of two children, William, who died in early manhood, single, and Elizabeth, wife of William Feeler, which see. His second wife was Elizabeth Green, a widow (whose daughter by her first marriage, Emma, widow of Nick Knight and later of Golden Coffey, lives at Vichy). The three children born of this marriage, all yet living, are: Amanda, wife of Wiley Bailey (son of Elbert) of Dallas, Texas; Lucy, wife of John Bohannon of Newburg, Missouri; and Nicholas Daniels of this county. Thomas Daniels, the deceased son, was born March 5, 1862, and died in this county June 12, 1927. He was survived by his widow (who afterward married Thomas Bunton and is also now deceased), and his two Children, Rainey and Dora, wife of J. M. Davis, both of this county.
