Moses P. Baker died at the home of his son, Lucene Baker in Kochville, at noon yesterday from the infirmities of old age. He was born in Orange County New York, October 4, 1820, and was therefore past 81 years of age. On reaching mans estate, he worked for several years on the Erie Canal. He came to Saginaw in 1852, and lived on the farm in Kochville where he died, for 42 years. He was married July 9, 1851, to Phoebe A. Staples. She died January 25, 1892. He is survived by four sons and one daughter, William B. Baker, of Laporte; Frank and Charles Baker, of Lakefield; Lucene Baker and Mrs. Jeremiah Davis of Kochville. The funeral will be held from the home of his son tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in Oakwood.
