Mrs Alice I Batton, 79, of Pana, died 6:15 p.m. Friday in Fayette County Hospital, Vandalia.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday in McCracken Funeral Home, Pana, where friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Oconee Cemetery, Oreana (should be Oconee).
Mrs Batton was born in Wheaton, a daughter of Charles and Emma Ireland. She was a member of the Oconee United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary and Oconee Eastern Star.
She married Leonard Skinner. He died in 1958.
She later married John Batton. He survives.
Also surviving are sons Ralph Skinner of Ramsey and Lloyd Skinner of Leland; a daughter, Mrs Burel Sanders of Shabbona; sisters, Lillian Ireland of Vandalia and Mrs Ollie Cothern of Pittsburg, Ohio; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
