Born Anne Sophie Kerstine Bonnicksen in Christiansfeld, Vejle, Denmark; daughter of Knud Jorgen Bonnicksen(1835-1913) and Marie Cathrine Juhl(1834 -1901). She immigrated to New York, arriving May 24 1872 aboard the SS Abyssinia with her parents and 4 siblings. In 1880 she was with her parents in Clinton, Iowa. She married February 7, 1892 in Chicago to Christian Peter Andersen (1865-1950), another Danish immigrant. They lived in Chicago most of their remaining lives, except a brief period around 1920 in Ringsted, Emmet Co, Iowa. Christian worked for the Pullman Railroad Comapany, a foreman and manager in the building of railcars. Anne is the mother of Edna Marie Christine Andersen Fink (1892-1987), Alma Catherine Andersen Webb (1894-1937), Ruth Emma Constance Andersen (1897-1984), Esther Christine Andersen Pfab (1899-1990), Agnes Tomina Andersen Tjaden (1901-1999), Gladys Irene Andersen (1904-1987), Alice Lucille Andersen(1908-1909) and Alice Dorothy Andersen (1914-1914).
