He united with the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at an early age.
He married Beatrice Roundtree in November of 1941. To this union five sons were born, one son. John Marshall preceded him in death.
He departed this life Sunday, January 19, 1992 at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital, Kosciusko, MS.
