She was born January 11, 1929 in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Samuel Iver and Pearl Williminia (Hanson) Peel. She was married to Robert Francis Riddle on July 29, 1947 in Wever, Iowa, whom preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons Robert Harold (Mary) Riddle of Green Valley, Arizona, Kevin L. (Laurie) Riddle of Denmark, Iowa, two daughters Gayla S. Young of Denmark, Iowa, Glee A. (Mark) Salladay of Chesapeake, Virginia, seven grandchildren R. Michael and Nicholas Riddle, JB Young, Stacy Beach, Kyle, Brendon and Michaeline Salladay, seven great grandchildren Saundra and Katie Beach, Wyatt, Mallory, Temprence, Eleenora and Taden Riddle, one sister Evelyn Bogert - Smith of Donnellson, Iowa and one brother Raymond (Ann) Peel of Donnellson, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert and her parents.
Virginia was a 1947 graduate of Denmark high school. She was a member of the Denmark United Church of Christ and attended Harmony Bible Church. She was a former member of the Plymouth Circle. Virginia enjoyed baking as she baked numerous cakes for many weddings. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
Burial will be in the Denmark Cemetery, Denmark, Iowa.
