Obituary of Inez Hurst Hover
(1914 - 2012)

Gulfport, MS ~ Inez Hurst Hover, age 97, of Gulfport, passed away on January 13, 2012 in Gulfport.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Hester Hurst; her husband, Alvin Hover; a daughter, Mary Lou Hover; a grandson, Shannon Hover; six sisters, Alma Blackwell, Mae Sykes, Claude Thompson, Eunice Hurst, Idell Cowart, and Bessie Miller; and four brothers, Barney Hurst, Jeb Hurst, Winfred Hurst, and Quetin Hurst.

She is survived by a daughter, Gale Godwin (Ray) of Milton, FL; two sons, J.D. Hover (Phyllis) and Dale Hover (Sue), all of Long Beach; seven grandchildren, Shannon Walker, Angie Hills, Johnnie Danford, Tammy Robare, Dione Santobianco, Randy Hover, and Gilbert Hover; thirteen great grandchildren, Katherine, Rebecca, and Jon Danford, Amanda, Ashley, and Abigale Walker, Kailer Krause, Jackson and Ethan Hills, Michael and Allison Santobianco, Russ Tripp, and Chrissy Haus; and one great great grandchild, Hayden Haus.

She retired from Memorial Hospital at Gulfport after 22 years of service, having worked in the SPD department. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 16, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Burton Memorial United Methodist Church, Gulfport, with a visitation one hour prior to the service, Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Gulfport.

Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport, is in charge of arrangements.
