Services for Elois Guice Monroe, 80, of Ruston, LA will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2003 in the Temple Baptist Church Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Dale Oden. Interment will be in Pines Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.

Mrs. Monroe died Thursday, January 30, 2003 in Ruston, LA. Mrs. Monroe was a member of Temple Baptist Church and a member of the Lidia Sunday School Class. She was a volunteer Pink Lady at Lincoln General Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bishop Monroe.

Survivors include her children, Kenneth Monroe, Connie Hill and husband Bob, Dianne Volentine and husband Ronny, all of Ruston, LA, and Margo Wright and husband Sid of Dothan, AL; one sister, Muriel Wells of Sicily Island, LA; three brothers, Herd Guice of Denham Springs, LA, Friley Guice of Hammond, LA and Loma Guice of Sicily Island, LA; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be grandsons: Ken Monroe, Jeffery Monroe, Robert Hill, Michael Hill, David Volentine and Ross Volentine.

Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2003 at the funeral home.
