Mrs. Peyton, 55, Dies Saturday at Worthington
RACELAND-Bertha Pennington Peyton, 55, Worthington, widow of Garrett Peyton, was dead on arrival at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital at 10:30 a.m. today. She had been ill three years.
Mrs. Peyton was born July 25, 1908, at Wurtland, a daughter of Albert and Emma Sergent Pennington, now of Raceland.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lola Mae Stewart, Springfield, O,; a sister Mrs. Albert Brown, Raceland; and three brothers, Lando and Levi Pennington both of Raceland, and Abram Pennington of Wurtland; five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Evans Funeral Home by the Rev. David Melvin. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
The body is at the funeral home where friends may call after noon Sunday.
