Born Jan. 15, 1930, in Gormania, W.Va., he was the son of the late Raymond Gordon and Lona Bell (Vance) Aronhalt Sr. Also, preceded in death by wife, Elsie Elizabeth (Otto) Aronhalt; son, Donald Aronhalt; sisters, Naoma Spiker, Mary Clatterbuck and Barbara Cobalt; grandson, Brian Aronhalt; and granddaughter, Michelle Brown.
Raymond had been a delivery man working for Kelley's Appliance Store and Heck's in Oakland, and also worked for the B&O Railroad, Cumberland.
A memorial service will be held at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A. Chapel, 21 N. 2nd St., Oakland, Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harold McMillan officiating.
At Raymond's request his body was cremated.
Inurnment of his ashes will be at the Bayard Cemetery.
