THERE IS NO CEMETERY MARKER FOR JOHANNES (JOHN II) SIEGFRIED.

To my knowledge, there is no known primary source of his Birth Date. His Father's Will indicates John was younger than his Brother Joseph, who was born 2 Feb 1721 (per date in Joseph's 1795 Moravian Burial Record) and tradition has John Siegfried II's birth year as 1723 in Oley, Philadelphia County (Berks County after 1752). When his Father died in December of 1747, he willed half his land in Maxatawny to Son Joseph and half his land to Son John II (each received aprox. 300 acres of land).

John Siegfried II married Catherine R. Fetterolf (b.1732 the d/o Johan Peter Fetterholf and Anna Maria "Margaretha" Rothermel).

John Siegfried II died in May of 1766 and his Will, dated 19 Dec 1765 (Book Z, page 77, Register of Wills Office, Berks County Courthouse, Reading, PA) leaves 1/2 the land to son John III, and 1/2 the land to son Jacob with Son Peter receiving 20 acres prior to the division by John III and Jacob. At the time of John II's death, son John III was 7 1/2 years old and Jacob was 3 3/4 years old. Catherine R. (Fetterolf) Siegfried was 34 years old when her husband died. Sometime after her husband's death, Catherine married Abrahan Zimmerman and moved to Agusta Township, Northumberland County, PA.

The Children of John II and Catherine were:
1. Elizabeth, b. 19 Jul 1754; m. Michael Werlein - moved to Northumberland County, PA then when her husband died in 1804, as a Widow she moved to Delaware County, Ohio.
2. Magaretha, b. ??; m. Henry Lantz - moved to Sunbury, Northumberland Co, PA
3. Peter, b. 19 Feb 1757; m. Catherine Munnig
4. John III, b. 4 Oct 1758; m. Maria Gertraud Sassaman
5. Sussanna, b. 16 Apr 1760; m. Albrecht Werlein - moved to Ohio.
6. Jacob, b. 19 Aug 1762 (was sometimes listed as Jacob Siegfried,Jr., not because his father's name was Jacob but because his cousin, Jacob Siegfried, who was born in 1753 lived on the adjacent farm. To help tax collectors, census takers and the like to identify the diffferent Jacob Siegfrieds, the younger was called "Jacob, Jr.". This was a common practice during this period of time); m. his cousin Dorothy Levan, the youngest daughter of Daniel Levan and Susanna Siegfried.
7. Daniel b. 29 Dec 1763; m. Maria Magdalena Klein
