Jesup, Ga. - Robert L. "Bob" Peacock, 83 of Jesup, Ga. died Saturday, January 3, 2015 of an apparent heart attack. The Ashburn, Ga. native had lived in Wayne County most of his adult life, was a retired ITT Rayonier employee and a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed hunting and searching for things that were in "need of repair". He was predeceased by his first wife, Cynthia Steagald Peacock.

Survivors are his wife, Diane Hill Peacock of Jesup, Ga.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Diane P. Lamb of Jesup, Ga., Linda and John Landrum of Greenbay, Wis.; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert L. and Pam Peacock of Sylvester, Ga.; a brother-in-law, Stanley Hill of Ripley, Miss.; 5 grandchildren, Rachel and Aaron Wilkerson, Robert L. and Jenny Peacock, III, Will Peacock, Jake Landrum, Abbi Landrum; two great grandchildren, Maverick Wilkerson and Layla Peacock; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be 11 A.M. Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Mike Davis officiating and the American Legion Post 311's U.S. Flag presentation.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, January 6, 2014 at the Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Jude's Children Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Fla. 33607.
