Sarah A. (Reid) Huggins was the daughter of Robert and Mary (Blakeley) Reid. Her siblings were Robert, Mathilda 'Tillie' and Emma. Tillie and Emma never married.

Sarah and James Huggins' four children were Arthur Wilson, Clarence Walter, Miller James and Myrtle 'Myrtie' Marie, all born in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Myrtle Marie Huggins - Myrtle Marie Huggins was born in Cincinnati on November 15, 1882. She was the last-born child of James T. and Sarah A. (Reid) Huggins. Most report her to be a sweet, kind woman. She remained single throughout her life. Myrtie, as she was called, had an especially close bond with her brother Miller. She lived with him, cooked and cleaned for him, and in return Miller took care of her, too. On November 2, 1938 she died in St. Petersburg, Florida. Her death is speculated a suicide, its cause from ingesting cyanide poison. Her estate was litigated by Florida's supreme court in June 1943.
