On March 8, 1866, he supposedly married Nancy Jane Cotter, older sister of Mary A. Cotter. however, I can't find any record of her after that and Mary A. said that SHE was married in 1866, so I'm not sure if this is really Nancy, or Mary. ???

Their first son was born in 1968 and so forth. I think it was just a mistake on the marriage registration that Nancy was named, although it is peculiar.
