Elwood West, 80, of Munfordville died at 11:40 a.m. March 28, 2004, at the V.A. Hospital in Louisville. The Hart County native owned West Construction Co. for 17 years until retirement. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and was a World War II Marine veteran. He was a son of the late Oscar West and Gertie Craddock West. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Sego Funeral Home, with burial in Munfordville Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and at 8 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Woodward West; three sons, Kenneth Priddy of Florida and Gordon and Gary West, both of Munfordville; a daughter, Linda West of Munfordville; a brother, Hershell West of Cub Run; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
