Ramón S. García, age 85, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away peacefully at home with his family and is now with our Lord on Sunday, November 27, 2011.
Ramón is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Annie García, children, Larry García and his wife, Christine and Eva García, sisters, Connie Golden and her husband, Ben, Concha Jaramillo and Annie Salas and her husband, Jim, brothers, John García and his wife, Vivian and Joe García and his wife, Jennie, grandchildren, Mark A. García and his wife, Reyelen, Carlos García and Erik García, Jason Galindro and his wife, Christi, Yvonne Phillips and her husband, Cory and Yvette Candelaria and her husband, Robert and ten great-grandchildren.
Ramón was preceded in death by his parents, Angel and Mercedes García, sisters, Josephine, Mary and Frances and brother, Robert.
Ramón was a member of the Catholic Church, a World War II United States Navy Veteran and a member of the D.A.V.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:15 a.m. at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, 5901 St. Joseph Pl. NW, Albuquerque, NM, with a Rosary to be recited at 8:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow the Rosary at 9:00 a.m. with Monsignor Lambert Luna, presider. A Committal Service will be at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be Mark S. García, Carlos R. García, Jason Galindro, Kenny R. Sánchez, Cory Phillips and Robert Candelaria.
