On June 2, 1794 Ann Wire married Nathaniel Seely. This marriage record is from the Docket of Justice John Miller, Esq., Town of Chemung 1789-1806. Wire can only refer to Waeir, which was a name that few could spell at that time period because of the various interchangeable vowels, etc. Nathaniel Seely had first married Jemima Collins and he died in 1799 and is buried in the same cemetery. The marriage cannot refer to his son Nathaniel, Jr., as he was married and having children at the time of this marriage in 1794 (Nathaniel Jr., had a daughter Christian Seeley born Nov 10, 1794 by his wife, Elizabeth).

Nancy was the very common nickname for Ann and this memorial marker for Nancy may refer to Ann Waeir who married Nathaniel Seely. If it is the same person the marker reverted to her name Waeir versus Seely. Interestingly there is no mention of a husband on this memorial marker which was not common for that time period unless they were a single woman.

It has been assumed she is the wife of Thomas Waeir of Schooley's Mountain, New Jersey, but this needs to be documented and it has been assumed she is the mother of:

1. Nancy Waeir b. 4 Dec 1761 m. 8 Sept 1780 John Winkler.
2. John Waeir b. 28 Mar 1764.
3. Sarah Waeir b. 1766 m. c. 1780 Wilkes Jenkins and she d. 5 Sept 1797.
4. Timothy Waeir b. 17 Aug 1778 d. 19 Oct 1816 38y 2m 2d Fitzsimmons Cemetery.
